CVSA Releases Brake Safety Week Results

During CVSA's Brake Safety Week in August, inspectors throughout North America conducted 15,175 commercial vehicle inspections.  Results include:

A 15.1% (2,296) out-of-service rate due to brake related violations. OOS brake violations include: defective brakes, brake hoses/tubes, steering axle and air loss rate. Drum and Rotor violations included: broken rotor, rusted rotor, metal-to-metal, and broken drums.
