DOT Strengthens ID Verification for FMCSA D&A Clearinghouse

CVSA’s 2026 Out-of-Service Criteria Now in Effect
Last year, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) voted to approve 17 changes to out-of-service criteria during inspections. Those changes have recently gone into effect. FMCSA Again Extends Paper Med Card Waiver - Waiver Good Through Oct. 11, 2026
FMCSA has once again extended its waiver allowing motor carriers and drivers to rely on a paper copy of the medical examiner's certificate (MEC) as proof of the driver's medial certification for up to 60 days after the MEC was issued.
