ATRI Releases Top 10 Trucking Industry Issues Survey Results

The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) has released the results of its annual survey of the Top 10 Trucking Industry Issues.

According to respondents (over 3,000 industry stakeholders across North America), the top issues include fuel prices, lawsuit abuse reform, CSA, Insurance costs/availability, driver shortage, economy, artificial intelligence, diesel emissions regulations, driver compensation, and driver retention.

Fuel prices rose to the number one spot in 2026, up 17 spots from the previous survey, and replacing the previous number one issue for three years running...the economy.
