State and Federal Waivers Issued for Texas Flooding

The Gov. of Texas has declared a state of disaster waiving max drive time (49 CFR Parts 395.3 and 395.5) for property and passenger carrying vehicles for 14 days for those drivers providing direct assistance to the flooding emergency in TX.
In addition, the President has extended his disaster declaration waiving Parts 390-399 for commercial motor vehicle operations providing direct assistance supporting emergency relief efforts involving transportation and other relief services related to the immediate restoration of essential supplies or essential services in Texas. This extension
shall remain in effect until the end of the emergency or until 11:59 P.M. (ET), August 4, 2025, whichever is earlier.
As always, these waivers may be modified, terminated, or extended as necessary as the FMCSA continues to monitor the situation.
