National Work Zone Awareness Week - April 21-25, 2025

Did you know that nearly one-third of fatal work zone crashes involve large trucks?  Due to this, FMCSA has an entire page devoted to work zone safety. See: Work Zone Safety Outreach Resources | FMCSA. 

Keep in mind that when operating in a work zone, whether in a large truck, bus, or personal vehicle keep your distance from vehicles in front of you. Stay alert when travelling in work zones and avoid all distractions such as eating, drinking, using electronic devices, or smoking. Research your route ahead of time and use detours when marked. Finally, obey all traffic signs, pay attention to blind spots, watch speed limits (which may be reduced), and exercise extreme caution when sharing the road.
